The family left Saskatchewan in 1968 moving to Riondel BC for a 3 year stay & then ultimately landed in Creston BC where Vera had always wanted to reside. South Creston School is where Vera taught many lucky children for 17 years until she retired in 1988 after teaching for a total of 35 years.
Vera's hobbies included birdwatching, her flower garden/floral arranging & she always looked forward to attending local musical concerts/plays & fairs as well as enjoying the scenic beauty of Creston & the surrounding area.
