Rody Hale Malner, was born April 4, 1929, in Krumpa, Germany. He came to Canada in 1951, as an Electrician and worked in this job for at least 30 years, in Alberta. When he retired from being an Electrician, he took up commercial cattle farming until he was 60.
He and his first wife Rio had three boys, Dean, Hilton, and York.
By 1989 he moved to Canyon, BC., and met Sally, whom he shared his life for almost 32 years until his passing on May 13, 2022.
He was an active member of the Creston Valley Senior Citizen Center, where he fixed a lot of things. He enjoyed flipping pancakes, playing darts, crib, whist, and skat. He also loved dancing.
In 2006, he and Sally moved into town (Creston, BC), and bought a condo unit at Royal Crest Condominium.
He became an active member of TAPS and enjoyed games, Bingo and singing old time music.
He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Sally, and sons, Dean (Lynne) of Lady Smith, BC., Hilton of Busby, AB., and York (Lorna) of Quesnel, BC., and grandchildren, Cameron, Robyn, Karleigh, and Jonathan, and great-grandchildren, Hunter and Arya.
