Richard Dallinga

February 18, 1968 – September 3, 2023

Rick passed away suddenly at home on September 3, 2023 in Creston BC. Certainly a shock to all those who knew him. Rick did not live life gently, was a hard working, strong willed man, who stood tall, and not just physically.

All Rick wanted was to be at home, and with people he loved. Always sharing a good, over-the-top, story and wanting good tunes. He cared a lot for his family, making the time to visit when he could.

Rick loved living in the mountains, gardening on the off time, had a passion for cars, taking the Harley out and spent majority of his time working on odds and ends at home. He shared his home with his wife over 36 years and enjoyed working on the property with her.

Over the countless years of being on the road, he met numerous people whom he shared endless stories with and made many life long friends.

Rick was predeceased by his Father, Herman Dallinga, his in-laws; Wayne and Gida King, and his grandparents.

Rick will be remembered by his wife Marla "Mick" Dallinga, his 3 daughters; Stevie (Steve Hils) Hils-Dallinga, Chelsey (Kay Turple) Dallinga, and Maddy (Kody) Chubb, his Mother Tina Dallinga, siblings; Catherine (Rick Forsythe) Dallinga, Audrey (Daniel) Bruintjes, Tony Dallinga and Laurence (Elaine Walton) Dallinga, his 4 grandchildren; Cashis, Adelaide, Rhys and Veronica. As well as multiple nieces and nephews, other extended family and numerous friends.

Rick will be missed by many, and it's a shame to say goodbye so soon. Thank you for all the kind messages, condolences and thought.
