We are saddened to announce the passing of Lesley Deines on July 15th, 2025, at 76 years of age in Canyon, B.C, with her husband, Murray, by her side.
Lesley was born on June 4th,1949, in Edmonton, AB, to parents Roy and Catherine Webster. Lesley graduated from Lester B Pearson Senior Secondary School in New Westminster in 1966.
In 1971 Lesley married and established her residence in the Pemberton Valley. Together with her husband Dave, Lesley fully embraced farm life and created a home while raising three daughters. The family relocated to the Creston Valley in 1986, where, after settling in, Lesley pursued a career in real estate and became a licensed real estate agent. In 1999 Lesley moved to Calgary A.B where she earned her Medical Office Assistant certificate and went on to work in health care. In 2001 Lesley married Murray, they resided in Calgary together until retirement, at which point they relocated to Canyon just outside of the the Creston Valley.
Lesley took a lot of pleasure tending to her plants and garden. She was skilled in preserving and canning, and she was particularly known for her dill pickles and beets. Additionally, Lesley had a passion for photography and frequently documented all aspects of life that she cherished. Her subjects often also included landscapes, family weddings, airplanes, automobiles, animals, and especially her children and grandchildren. Lesley really had an eye for capturing special moments.
Lesley is predeceased by her Father; Roy Webster; Mother Catherine M. Edwards; Brother, John Webster; and Stepson Kelly Deines.
Lesley is survived by her Husband, Murray Deines; Sister, Patricia Webster; Brother, Robert Webster; Daughters, Catherine, Christine, and Caroline; Stepson, Ian (Kathy); Grandchildren, Laura (Edward), Peter, Cole, Josie, and Pamela; and Great-Grandchildren, Finnley, Harlow, Piper, Brent, and Brandon.
A celebration of Lesley's life is to be held on August 5th (Tuesday) at 1:00 P.M. at G.F Oliver Funeral Chapel, 225 15th Ave N, Creston, B.C V0B 1G4
