Obituary of George Webber

 

George Webber, age 89 years, passed away on the 28th of August, 2021, in Creston, British Columbia. He was born and raised in Stony Plain, Alberta. George was a Master Mechanic and Hoisting Engineer who loved to work with trucks, cranes and other heavy machinery. He spent time working on the Canada Dew Line, a pipeline across Canada and then moved further afield to places like Africa, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia and Uzbekistan until his retirement in 2006.

George was predeceased by his parents Henry and Elisabeth (Spady) Weber, and sisters Irene and Helma, and two infant daughters. He is survived by his wife Eileen, and his daughter Valorie, and his step-son Adam Brown, and his brothers John Weber and Murray Webber (Colleen), and sisters Elsie Turkis and Alice Markland. 

Our Sincere thanks to Dr. Storrier, the nursing staff at the Swan Valley Lodge and the Hospice Care people for their kind and compassionate care of George during these Challenging times

The Family will bury George in the Glory Hills Cemetery in Stony Plain. No flowers, please. If they wish family and friends may make a donation to their favourite charity in memory of George. We regret that due to covid protocols there will be no reception following the burial.
