It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gail Heather (Scott) McHone on Tuesday,
February 9, 2021, at the age of 66.
Gail was born and grew up in Creston, B.C. where her family ran the Scottie's Campground. It was
here that she developed her love for B.C. cherries, flowers, gardening, and the Creston Valley. In
1972 Gail moved to Calgary to attend school, where she met her future husband Ted McHone.
After graduating in 1974, Gail moved to Prince George where she married. Together they returned
to Calgary in 1975, where Gail began her career as a Legal Assistant which she devoted herself to
tirelessly for the next 37 years. Gail’s truest love was always family, and she started her own with
the arrival of her daughter in 1979.
Gail will be forever and lovingly remembered by her daughter Jaimi and her husband Cory, her
two granddaughters, Maya and Siena; Jaimi’s father Ted McHone, her sister Sharon Terrill (Bill), her
sister-in-law Bearne Scott, and a long list of extended family and friends. Gail was predeceased by
her father Andrew Neville (Ned) Scott, her mother Myrtle Inez (Langdon) Ivany, and her brother
Randall Scott.
A private Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021, at Eden Brook Funeral Home
with burial to follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens. Details regarding the Livestream of the
