Elke Greffard

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our mother, Elke Greffard. She passed away peacefully with her daughter Theresa by her side on May 4th, 2022.

Elke was born in Hamilton, Ontario on January 5th, 1957, and first moved to Creston Valley in 1982 with a passion for gardening, preserving foods, and hunting. She was also known for her big family meals and her kind heart.

Elke was always sharing her passion for gardening. When she was not in the kitchen or the garden, you would happily find her crocheting her next cozy creation.

Elke is lovingly remembered by her partner Larry Rauchert, her daughter, Monique Greffard (Kevin) and her granddaughter Alex, daughter Nicole Greffard (Mike) and her grandson Philippe, daughter Theresa Greffard and son in law Devin Falconer, granddaughters London and Annabelle, and stepdaughter Natasha Rauchert and granddaughter Kallie, as well as her brothers Armin and Gunther, and her sisters Gabriele and Veronika, and her many nieces and nephews. 

Elke was pre-deceased by her husband John Greffard, as well as both her parents, and her sister Heidi.

Elke and her warm and comforting smile will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
