Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce Christopher van der Merwe passed away peacefully surrounded with his family by his side on January 15th, 2023 at the age of 83.
Dad’s passions in life were his unfailing faith in God, His great love for all his family and his farming. Dad worked hard as an electrician, running his own business and a dairy farm. Dad met the love of his life and married Mom on February 11, 1961.
Dad is survived by his wife Anne van der Merwe, children Marianne (Chris), Susan (Phillip), Kevin (Louise), Theresa (Deon), Steven (Karen), Helen (Peter), Rosemarie (Gordon), and Jeanne (Troy), Sister
Geraldine Dersley, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his granddaughter Stephanie Lemmer, his brothers John and David, and his sister Pamela.
Dad will be always remembered for his infectious smile that was ever present. We love you always and will miss you.
A Memorial Mass will be held on January 21st, 2023 at 11:00am at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Creston, BC with Father Lawrence officiating. Please join us at https://youtube.com/@holycrossparish1564
