Arny Woker

Arny Woker passed away on May 26, 2024, at the age of 77, after a short battle with cancer, with his wife of 52 years, Erika, by his side. 

Arny started his career as a locksmith in Calgary in 1968, while working on cars as his hobby in his spare time. In 1979 Arny and Erika purchased an acreage west of Calgary where they built a shop and house.  At that point Arny left his employment as a locksmith and ventured into full time car restoration specializing in 1950’s and ‘60’s Chevy high performance “muscle cars”.

 In 1999 Arny and Erika moved to Canyon, BC to enjoy the serenity of the beautiful Creston Valley where Arny continued his passion for restoring cars until his passing.

Through the years, he and Erika especially loved travelling to various car shows throughout the Pacific Northwest where many meaningful lifelong friendships were developed.  

He had a unique ability to self-learn many intricate skills both in the car and carpentry industries.  Once a skill was learned, he enjoyed sharing that knowledge with others.

A deep love for animals was also one of his strong attributes, and he and Erika thoroughly enjoyed many cats, dogs and horses through the years. 

Arny had a great sense of humour and a smile, accompanied by a twinkle in his eye, which will be forever missed by all those who loved him.
