It is with great sadness that the family of Arnold Lauraine McKay of Creston, B.C., announce his passing on November 11, 2025. Arnold was born on April 22, 1937, in Hayesville, N.B.
He is survived by his wife, June, son Ronald, daughter Angela, grandson Chris (Maddy) and great-grandsons Gage, Knight, and Nolan, all of Fredericton; his sister, Carley (Laurin) of Fredericton; brother, Harland of Haysville; and sister-in-law, Margaret of Fredericton; several in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Margaret McKay of Hayesville, N.B., two brothers, Ellery and Everette and sister-in-law (Peggy).
Arnold worked in the logging industry and later in construction, building homes, apartment buildings, and strip malls. He was an avid reader, and he wrote eight western books. He loved music and played at a number of volunteer events. He loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping.
There will be no service by request. Interment at a later date.
