Roy Pridham Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Roy Edmund Pridham on November 27, 2018.

Born on March 23, 1929, in Creston, BC, Roy was the third child of Edith and Edmund Pridham.

Roy worked hard as a young man on his parent’s apple orchard with his faithful dog Bingo by his side. It was in that very orchard that he met his future wife, Yvonne Frost. They wed on June 2, 1951 and were fortunate enough to have 67 years together.

In the early years Roy worked in the construction field before they settled down in Creston and started Rovon Poultry Farm. After 30 years they sold the farm. In 1978, Roy dabbled in property development until his retirement. For many years he was an active member of the Kiwanis Club and served as President and Lieutenant Governor. He also served as President of the Creston Golf Club.

Yvonne and Roy both enjoyed golfing, travelling and many “theme” parties with their friends.

Roy is survived by his loving wife Yvonne; his four children- Marie Acton (Lyle), David Pridham (Nancy), Brian Pridham and Jayne Davidson (Doug); his six grandchildren- Emily, Micah, Derek, Todd, Olivia and Lucais; and three great-grandchildren- Paige, Jeremy and Adeline.

We would like to express our gratitude to the amazing staff at Creston Valley Hospital and Crest View Village. Also, a special thank you to Roy’s nieces Marion and Donna for their ongoing love and support.

Friends and family are invited to a tea, Sunday December 9, from 1 – 3 pm at Crest View Village.

Donations may be made to Creston Valley Hospital, “Palliative Care Unit”, Bag 3000, Creston BC V0B 1G0.
